The Practice

Mission:

Promoting the advancement of children, families, and communities, through therapeutic transformation- utilizing play therapy, attachment and bonding, trauma reclamation, adult therapeutic groups, and workshops.

Little Grasshopper is the founding practice of Hana Bernadett-Williams (She/Her/They/Them), a BIPOC woman holding a dual licensure in Marriage & Family Therapy and Professional Counseling, with a specialization in Trauma Studies.

Hana founded Little Grasshopper to offer her traditional knowledge, Western education, and life experiences to promote healing in children, individuals, families, and our community.

An exploratory space for your family to learn and practice new approaches in order to navigate the complexities of life.

Offering Telehealth sessions, Little Grasshopper is a welcoming therapeutic office and playroom providing children and adults the tools and guidance to heal through the power of play.

Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge the land on which we sit and which we occupy at Little Grasshopper Family Therapy. "The Portland Metro area rests on traditional village sites of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla, and many other tribes who made their homes along the Columbia River creating communities and summer encampments to harvest and use the plentiful natural resources of the area" (Portland Indian Leaders Roundtable, 2018). We take this opportunity to thank the original caretakers of this land.
